Can I call the police?
So we live in an apartment complex, we are on the 3rd floor in the back building, it’s not a gated community or anything. But it’s pretty decent, everyone has assigned paid parking and it hasn’t become a problem until recently. The last 2 weeks after coming home from work, there has been a strange car parked in my spot. I know that these people do not live here, they don’t have the resident parking permit or anything, and I have never seen anyone ever get out or in. All they do is sit in their car and listen to music at an unreasonable volume. I took the license plate down and called the office to ask for something to be done, they came and told the people that this is a closed community and if they are not residents they cannot take spots as they are paid assigned parking. They left. But lately they have been coming back at night. Still blaring they’re music. They sit in the parking lot all night with music on, I called the office again to inform them of the noise complaint. They let me know that they’ve received several other complaints of the same car and people, and that they’ve gotten the police Department involved and they should not be returning. Well, I got home the other day and pulled into my spot, parked next to me was a new car (this spot wasn’t being used and no one had it assigned) I looked over and see these same people! Just in a new car, I looked at them and pretended to make a phone call until they looked over. Once they saw me they sped off, I got the plate number yet again, just to have. Well they started coming back at night and still continue playing their music so incredibly loud. Would I be totally ridiculous if I called the police to complain of noise instead of continuing to bug the office because these people are not living here? Part of me feels like I’m being ridiculous but I don’t feel like they should be that loud, especially all night long..
