Anterior placenta?

Question

Anyone else have an anterior placenta with first child? I would love any and all info i can get from you guys! I know theres google and of course my doctor but i dont see her again until the 6th so any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Just means the placenta is in front of your uterus with baby behind the placenta. Rather the baby then placenta behind baby if that makes sense. No health concerns or risks for you or the baby. The only thing is movement can be hard to feel so you may not feel it as soon.

Yup! Just really means your baby is behind placenta and placenta is against your belly. Sometimes movement is harder to feel. Haven’t had any problems!

I did with my first. I didn’t feel movement until around 20 weeks and a kick at 23 weeks.  During that pregnancy I thought I hated it in the front but then my second pregnancy it was in the back and boy did I hate that! The feel of elbows and knees pushing everywhere was so weird! Lol

Yup! I did. Just pretty much, took longer to feel her move and didn’t as often as others do. We went in the ER multiple times for no fetal movement and on the ultrasound you could see her going crazy and I wouldn’t feel a thing

I have a anterior placenta it’s very common in women.it just means when you got pregnant that’s where it placed. 90% of pregnant women have it located in the front. It also means sometimes you will feel the baby kick at a later date, but I felt flutters at 16 weeks and they have turned into strong kicks. It will also be easier for you to deliver also this is also my first and that is what my doctor told me. I’m now 33 weeks and google is good, but sometimes it’s your enemy and can make you worry. I had an anterior placenta with my last pregnancy and hated it. It was very hard to feel my baby move but other than that it really didn't cause any problems. Oh yeah and it was hard to find the baby's heartbeat on a doppler but if you have one just tell the nurses and they will get it on the sides of your stomach
