For about the last five nights my one month old will not sleep unless she is laying on my chest. We will do our nighttime routine- change into jammies, swaddle and feed. She will fall right asleep and as soon as I put her in the bassinet she starts screaming. I’ve had to “sleep” sitting up on the couch with her on my chest. Once she is asleep we are only having to wake up once to feed in the night. She really is comfortable there, but Mommy is exhausted! I just want to be back in my bed...especially after I had to sleep on the couch for two weeks because I couldn’t walk up stairs after my delivery. We have not had this problem until this week. Even when we brought her home from the hospital she would sleep in her bassinet at night. I do have the Wonder Weeks App and see she is going through a leap. I’m just worried she is going to get too comfortable sleeping on my chest and will not get back in her bassinet. Anyone else having this problem? I don’t know what else to do?
