UK glucose test - is the drink fizzy?

I am allergic to fizzy/carbonated drinks and my sister said that she had to drink a fizzy lucozade like drink for the glucose test, worried that I won't be able to drink it and if I do I'm going to end up throwing up all over the hospital 🤦‍♀️ my test is tomorrow

Imagine a Fanta, but flat and 5 times more sugar than a coke. How can you be allergic to fizzy drinks? It’s just carbon and oxygen...two things you need to be alive.

They don't do the lucozade anymore anymore it's just like a really sugary water not very nice I'd rather have the lucozade haha

Mine was just like a really sweet thick liquid. It didn’t taste like any regular drinks to me just like drinking thick gloopy weird orange flavour stuff. Kind of made me feel sick 🤢

No hun it’s like capri sun but slightly different taste but I fort be worst actually and I would throw it up but my baby girl was good that day because I didn’t want repeat test
