Can your S/O still love you even if they hit you?

I said sometimes and here’s why. And I am by far NOT MAKING EXCUSES FOR A P.o.s that thinks it’s ok to hit their s/o. ( so don’t try to spin my comment) 
They can love u but don’t know how to show it. Their examples of love growing up was likely abuse, being hit all the time and told “I only hit u because I love u”. They know it’s wrong but they still do it, they know it can potentially cause them to be separated from their loved one be it jail, or the person leaving but their uneducated inexperienced mind can’t comprehend that hitting DOES NOT equate to love. Sometimes they do realize it and change but I feel like that only happens when they have lost what they care about. Be it family or the person they hit. 
I feel like there’s  a whole psychology behind abusive people, that doesnt always mean they don’t love u, it simply means they don’t know how to love.

Concerning how many people said sometimes. If your SO really loves you. He or she will never want you to feel any form of pain. Simple. A person who can raise their hand on another does not love or respect you

Hate and hitting someone aren’t equivalent. I don’t think hitting is right or ok, it should never be condoned or acceptable; that being said you can still love someone if you hit them. Not to bring up corporal punishment but I don’t doubt that parents who hit their kids to “discipline” them love them, I think they do love them but they are using a hateful and toxic tactic. 
So theoretically yes I believe you can love someone and hit them; THAT DOESN’T MAKE IT OK TO DO SO. & just because someone hits you doesn’t mean they love you either.

Any person who puts there hands on there partner doesn't respect them never mind love them  for to love you don't want who you love to feel any kind of pain or sadness you would fight for them.nioy against them

Somebody who puts their hands in their partner out of aggression and anger does not respect their partner and does not deserve them. I think love is a very complicated thing and I think it’s possible to love but also mistreat what you love. I don’t think these kinds of people change unless they finally lose what they love for good and then turn their life around, but some will always stay the same.

People who love you dont want to hurt you. They strive to make you smile not cry. The idea of you hurting would make that person upset. They wouldnt want to be the reason you suffer. Abuse does not equal love

Its definitely love. But its not for u. Its the love of control. The love of the benefits. The love of the fact that they can do whatever they want and we still stay. They dont love u.

Yes, I think so. Though, I’m not sure how it’s relevant.  If someone is hurting you, it doesn’t matter whether they love you or not.
