Am I asking too much?

Question

My boyfriend and I’s sex life has been complicated by my asking him to leave porn out of it. We used to watch it together, but I realized that was crossing a line for me and I didn’t like it. I’ve asked him to keep it away from me, I don’t care if he watches it but I don’t want to see it on his phone or whatever. 
I still see it all the time. It’s like he doesn’t even try. Whenever he opens his phone or computer around me, it’s right there. Still up. In my face. 
He gets so angry because I pop off every time. Like he values honest communication and I set my boundary and it makes me so mad he can’t at least try to honor it. He says he doesn’t want to live under my thumb. 
Again, I DONT CARE IF HE WATCHES IT I JUST DONT WANT TO BE PRIVY TO IT. 
SOMEONE PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IM ASKING TOO MUCH BY ASKING FOR HIM TO CLEAR HIS HISTORY. I’ve even said that if exiting the tab is too much then just don’t open your phone around me. It’s that simple. 
Does anyone have suggestions on how to better communicate my needs?

Nah girl I'm with you 100% that's not okay on his end he should respect you. I personally view prob as cheating in my relationships so I would flip too. But seeing as your simply asking him to hide it from you, he can at least do that. Like common your not asking him to never watch porn again. Although imo I don't see why any taken man needs to get off to another woman but whatever, each to their own in a relationship so long as boundaries are respected.

I'm confused. You say he can watch it privately but he basically has to wipe his browser history immediately so you don't see it later. Am I understanding that correctly? That doesn't sound like a boundery. It sounds like an order. Especially if you have a fit of you do see it at some point. I think you are taking it too far. Especially if you two were comfortable with it in the beginning. So, yes, I thinm you are asking too much by demanding he wipe his browser history or face a fight.

You aren’t asking too much, but you shouldn’t pop off. You have to understand that maybe this is a habit he will need time to build. He isn’t used to having to “hide it” from you. Maybe you can remind him or when he is about to share something with you on his phone or computer you can be mindful of it and say “am I going to see something I don’t want to?” And give him a minute to close things out or make sure that “the coast is clear”.

I think you’re doing too much lol. You know he’s watching it and you’re okay with it so why does it matter if his browser history is clear or not? Seems silly to me. In a successful relationship you have to know when to fight and when to just let things go. I think this is something you should just let go.

I’m more than okay with porn, we both watch it. However neither of us has to get on each other’s phones & look & see what videos we were watching. That’s not unfair for you to ask him to clear that I totally get where you’re coming from.

I don’t think you’re taking it too far. 🤷‍♀️ My fiancé doesn’t watch porn anymore because we have sex a lot now that we live together and we’re both ALWAYS busy, but before we got a place together I seen it on his phone and it upset me.. I didn’t want to see it. It’s a simple task to clear his history or at least close out the tab, I think you should sit down and explain how it really bothers you, try to stay calm while talking to him. Good luck girl.
