First month TTC baby #2

Took a couple early FR tests on the 18th and 21st. Both clearly negative (to me. Some of the faint positives that people see other people post I have no idea how people can see lines. I Don’t have a ton of experience with that) my period is now 2 days late. But my cycle has been irregular since coming back after baby#1. Wondering if a short cycle of 23 days back in December has thrown the predictions off?.. not having any real symptoms of anything.. if i remember correctly from my first pregnancy it took me a few day’s after my missed period to get a BFN.. I’m scared to test again because I don’t want a negative 😥.. my husband is also away until Wednesday night and I’d rather him be there. Does anyone have experience with Glow predictions being off?
