I FINALLY got my period 6 weeks and 1 day after my d&c (on Jan 14). It came on slowly yesterday morning and by the afternoon I had a decent flow and cramps. I had leftover painkillers that I got a few weeks ago from my OB for a large hemorrhagic cyst on my ovary so I took a few throughout the day and they were a godsend. I had 2 left by night time and wanted to save them for today in case the cramps were still bad.

By 12AM, they had completely worn off and I have been in SO much pain. Heating pad didn’t help, I took 3 ibuprofen waiting for them to kick in and in the meantime I was on the toilet for an hour because it was less painful than laying down. I even threw up because the pain was THAT bad.

My period after my first d&c was a breeze. This is SO BAD. Does anybody have a similar experience or is this something I should contact my OB about? I’m hoping the cramps calm down by today because now I’m out of pain relief (besides the ibuprofen) any advice to make this easier is greatly appreciated ❤️
