Hematocrit?

What does a hematocrit mean???? All my blood results came back normal except my hematocrit was 34.7, normal ranges are between 35-48. My doctor wasn’t concerned at all. I’m also 26 weeks pregnant.

It’s the amount of red blood cells compared to the amount of the volume of blood x

Hematocrit is about the ratio of blood cells to blood volume. It drops a lot in the second trimester headed to 3rd bc you increase blood volume so much that it’s diluted. Don’t be concerned! My doctor wasn’t either.

It has to do with red blood cells. Maybe a sign of anemia. But you're literally a smidgy under the recommendation so it's nothing worrisome.
