Has anyone had an HSG before?

I am planning on getting this done just curious if anyone has had this done before? What was it like?

Yes I had mine in December and it’s not bad. Cramping for me was pretty bad for a couple days and I had to go on antibiotics after because we were worried I was getting an infection but I just listened to my body and talked with my doctor.

Thanks guys. I am contemplating going to work afterwards? I generally have really bad cramping during pap smears and I had the LEEP procedure and that was extremely painful. Has this helped anyone get pregnant? They say it's supposed to increase chances of conceiving ?

Just hearing the word HSG brings trauma to me 😫
It differs from person to person, but for me it was the worst the second time around ended with emergency surgery. 
First time wasn’t so bad, just intense period cramps when the dye went in, when the catheter was threaded through the cervix i felt it but not painful. It kinda reminded me of a Pap smear, if you’ve had one the “pain” of the cervix swipe is what it feels like. 
Bring a pad and some wipes to clean up, you’ll leak the dye for a few hours afterwards. 
My tubes were free and open, but I’ve heard it hurts worse if they’re blocked or something is in there.

Mine was very painful for a few seconds (while flushing) but no issues afterwards maybe just slightly sore for that day
