My husband and I have been married since September. He is catholic I am Christian. Which for me is fine. I respect his beliefs and he “respected” mine until a few days ago. When him and I got married his mother wanted nothing Christian at the ceremony. I did not have anything that had to do with religion at our wedding to respect her say. A few days ago she walks in my house and hangs up a huge virgen marry poster on my living room. I found this extremely disrespectful first of all because this is suppose to be my house. Shouldn’t she have asked me first? Or am I wrong for getting upset. I don’t believe in religious portraits. My husband seems to always do what she says and he doesn’t respect me as his wife. I feel like I do not have a say in this marriage and his mom comes first before me. What should I do? I feel like I want to leave this marriage.
