dilated?

i’m 38 weeks today. if i haven’t lost my mucus plug yet does that mean i’m not dilated at all either? haven’t gotten checked yet.

No way to know for sure unless you get checked. But I’m with you, I’m 38+2 and have been refusing to get checked. I don’t see the point in knowing I’m dilated if I’m not in labor. Could be dilated for days and weeks and still not go into labor

I am currently dilated 3 cms and I have yet to see the full plug. Just itty bitty little chunks that are hardly noticable but nothing more.

Nope, I never lost my mucous plug until I was actively in labour at the hospital with my 2 children and I was dilated days-weeks prior to having them.

No I never lost it or my waters until I was 10cm.

I never saw my mucus plug with my first. I was dilated 1cm at 36 weeks, 2cm at 37 weeks. My water broke at 38 weeks exactly, and my baby was here 9 hours later.

I lost my mucus plug around 26 weeks (it grew back) I was not dilated.....so I think it all honestly depends momma! Unfortunately a true sign could mean something to one of us and for another one of us, it could mean that we’re experiencing another lovely symptom. That’s the sucky part of the waiting game. 😔

The reality is, when your baby is ready to come there will be no stopping the process. Until then you get to wait. And wait. And wait... hang in there chicky, only five or six weeks to go!
