Any Ideas

So recently I started liking a guy called Freddie and normally it doesn’t last but I properly like him and I’m not sure how he feels about me. (This may be long) I started talking to him in my class and after a few lessons we became good friends, now I joke around and call him my best friend and he joins in. Recently his friends (also mine) have been asking if I like anyone or if I would date him and me being the awkward person I am when it comes to this says no because I don’t want people to know and sometimes they look at Freddie and laugh. Which makes me thinks likes me, then one time some friends of both of us start saying we are dating and I say we aren’t so they say I just have a crush on him and I say I don’t. Since then they have been asking me and I think they told Freddie I do because he has started talking less to me. I just want to know if he likes me or not but I can’t tell anymore. Help pls??
