Can a car seat go in a truck? (Not an extended cab/ no back seats)

So I'm desperate for a vehicle and a buddy of my fiancés offered a truck for cheap our concern is can you put a car seat in a truck that's just the front seats ? Like it's not an extended cab with back seats. In this case is it safe to put the car seat in the truck?

You can turn off the airbags to specifically put a car seat up front, but I really would not recommend it

I’d say no because in case of an accident (god forbid) that airbag would most likely kill your baby

You have to turn the air bags off but you can legally have a rear facing seat in a pick up.

You’d have to check state laws and the manufacture information for the truck. It’ll have that information in the manual as well as how to properly install and use car seats in it if it allows them. It would be safe in those matters. It’s not practical but if you need a vehicle and that’s your only option, it would be still be safe (again if the manual and state laws allow) so I’d look into it and make sure.

Yes..... it’s just not super safe. You have to turn the air bag off. I wouldn’t do it as a day to day thing personally.

But we're driving a tiny car and they're basically death traps so 🤷🏻‍♀️
