So I'm just looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience and what the outcome was. My baby has never been overly chatty, but she would definitely squeal and screech and last week started making the 'm' sound as her first consonant. Right after that she pretty much stopped all babbling. She grunts and makes sounds of frustration and occasionally excited squeals, but doesn't try to babble. I took her to the doctor today because shes been so cranky and pulling her ear and thought maybe it was all related to an ear infection. Ears are clear. Anyone else had something similar their their baby just stopped chatting? She just turned 7 months
