I have my first appointment with the obgyn on Wednesday. I will be 9w1d then. As far as I know right now anyway. When I asked a couple weeks ago what they would do at that appointment the nurse said they would do the blood work, exam, and medical history which I knew. And then said they would schedule an ultrasound for 19 weeks. Now I know they aren’t going to make me wait that long to make sure my baby even has a heartbeat.(which is my biggest fear).

Off of their 28 day chart when I went for my confirmation they said I was about 8 weeks. Which would have me at almost 12 weeks now. But I had a chemical in October so I was tracking with OPK’s and also have 55-60 day cycles. I’ve never had one less than 50 days. So I know they’re going to have to do a dating scan. Or so I would think.

I’m just so confused. All I want to know is that my baby is still growing like it should be. And I’m not waiting until 19 weeks for that. I just don’t want to schedule an early private scan already and then they end up doing one at the doctor anyway. Anybody have any experience?

And if I am right about being 9 weeks would they even be able to hear a heartbeat on a Doppler?
