Birth Control Pills

Has anyone been on birth control to strictly get rid of your period altogether. I had been on the pill before, then I had the implant but I didnt like either of them. After a visit with my Gyno, I’m being put back on birth control because my bleeding is way too heavy & I’m anemic but she wants to stop my periods altogether. Has anyone done this before?
