What does baby feel like?

This is my first pregnancy so I have literally no idea what to look out for! What does the baby feel like when it starts to move or kick? I felt a sharp almost stab last night in bed from where the baby is but no idea if that was a kick or just some other pregnancy related symptom lol! 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️

Think of swallowing a live fish lol or almost like your stomach rumbling but in baby zone.

The stab you felt won’t be baby, more likely just your body stretching. They say you can feel ‘flutters’ from 14 weeks onwards which is baby moving and kicks anytime from 18weeks onwards (usually closer to 20 weeks). Everyone is different. It will also depend where your placenta is - anterior placenta (when the placenta is growing on the front wall of your womb) can mean you are cushioned from feeling any movement until 20+ weeks!

I never felt flutters. I started to feel my baby at 14 weeks, it was like a soft poke or a muscle twitching. Now I’m almost 18 weeks my boy is kicking harder

This early I would say it’s kinda like butterflies it’s not typically painful

In my opinion when baby moves it feels like a light muscle twitch.

I felt mine at 15 weeks! It feels like little muscle twitches in the same spot. Maybe one or two at a time and they are very soft. Kinda feels like little pieces of popcorn kernels popping popcorn in you. If that makes sense. Once it happens more you’ll know for sure.. ok that’s baby.
