So yesterday I had some light brown discharge. It wasn’t very much, but today I have some more. My period is due in a week. My boyfriend and I have had unprotected sex, but I am also on birth control. Should I take a test?

Update: I was taking my pill at 11pm, and then I switched it to 6pm because I work different hours. Would that cause the discharge or an early period?
