Blocked Fallopian Tube - Insight?
Just had an HSG test which showed one tube completely open and the other tube completely blocked. The SIS test came back totally normal. A little surprised as I haven’t had prior surgeries, no STDs, and no endometriosis.
Does anyone know if you take fertility meds ie Clomid or Letrozole and are monitored by your doctor with sonograms for timed intercourse etc, are they able to detect which side your body will release the egg from? Or does the sonogram mid cycle just show follicles and the release of the egg is it a total crapshoot?
Just curious if you’re being monitored if there’s a way to have a heads up of sorts with respect to if your ovulation month to month is on the open or blocked side.
Any insight or experience with this? I know IVF bypasses the tubes which is something we assumed we’d need for a subsequent pregnancy due to my age. Just wondering if we’ll have to consider that route for kid #1 or if one open tube is enough with the help of meds to make additional eggs release.
