Have the companies send you samples. That way you can try out different ones without spending a fortune. Also, get coupons from the company. 
We tried enfamil first. It caused our son to not poop for 7 days. Then we tried Similac but the pro-advance made him all red and blotchy so we switched to Similac pro-sensitive and he does well. Poops twice a day and no blotches. Now I’m looking forward to transitioning to whole milk in a few months and saving a whole lot of money!
We donated the unopened sample cans we didn’t use.

My daughter has been using similac since she was born (3 months ago) she had issues with the pro advance and pro sensitive but once she got on alimentum she’s been perfectly fine thank god. I tried enfamil with her and she didn’t like it
