Just alittle back story first.. I had recently moved to this new state because I got married (I'm a military wife) and I scheduled an appointment to get put back on birth control because my husband wasn't ready for kids yet.

So I scheduled an appointment to get seen and that was fine. I was excited they did the regular work up. Temp, blood pressure, pregnancy test, the normal stuff. Then a midwife comes in to ask what kind of birth control I wanted to be on and I told them everything was fine they said okay let's schedule a day to get it done. And I did. So I came back about a week later to get my birth control (nexplanon) put in. And they did the regular work up again. And got me in a room layed me down. I told them I'd like it to go in my right arm because that's where I had it before and it didn't bother me. She refused and decided to put it in my left arm and I was like alright what ever I'm not going to fight with you on it. So she sets everything up and has like 5 people come in to watch (I'm assuming students). She puts marks me up where she going to put it and explains to the students. She cleans and numbs the area. All normal stuff. So the thing is implanted and tells me to feel for it. All very normal. So I leave after she wraps me up. The next day I literally can't move my arm without screaming in pain and I have an extremely high pain tolerance. So I take the compression bandage off to look at it to see what's going on... ITS FUCKING PLACED INCORRECTLY. ITS DAMN NEAR ON THE BACK OF MY ARM. INSTEAD OF THE MIDDLE OF YOUR BICEP WHERE ITS SUPPOSED TO BE. It's completely swollen and the inner part of my arm all the way from my elbow to my armpit is black and bright red. So I call the office and say hey I think something is wrong. So they have me come in almost immediately. I go in and they take my blood pressure. I'm at 180 over 75. Which is insane and I should have had a heart attack. They take it again on 3 different times because that can't be right. But nope that's how high my blood pressure was. So the doctor comes in and I'm screaming already. And I'm begging her please don't touch it but if you have to please do it gently. So she starts to grab it and I'm bawling and she says I have to look at it and when she got ahold of me she rips off ALL 12 steri-strips I'm screaming because I literally thought I was dying. She tells me "your fucking fine stop screaming there are other patients here. Take this antibiotic and get out I need to use this room" I feel like I'm going to pass out at this point. And I tell her it's placed wrong I know it is and she tells me I'm wrong and even if I wanted to have it removed I had to wait for it to heal. So I left with tears running down my face like I have literally been abused. I go to the pharmacy to get the proscription filled. This bitch literally tried to kill me. I'm deadly allergic to anything and everything related to penicillin. Like I wear a medical alert bracelet because I'm that allergic to it. This medicine had a 1 out of 10 chance that I'd react to it. So that's what my pharmacist told me. I decided not to have it filled because ya know I'm not trying to DIE. I never went back to her. And I lived two years with constant pain in my arm because of where it was placed. I couldn't sleep on that side my husband couldn't touch that arm a certain way. I lived with it like that because I was so terrified of having to get it removed. But me and my husband decided to start trying so I went to the base doctor to have it removed and she looked at me and said who did this to you. It's placed incorrectly and it looks painful. And I cried told her who did it and everything that happened. The first thing that came out of her mouth was "I've heard of her and she needs her license revoked you aren't the first person who's said this." It was removed and I went home.

It turns out this horrible doctor was also my friends obgyn too. She and her husband started trying right after they got married and it took them quite along time to get pregnant. When they did she got pregnant with twins. When she made her appointment and went in the first thing this doctor said to her was " I'm assuming you're here to get an abortion and your baby daddy doesn't know" this doctor is a horrible person and I hope for everyone's sake she has her license revoked... Sadly my friend later miscarried the twins.. but now she has a beautiful baby girl. And I'm okay I had the implant removed in December and me and my husband are still trying.
