Anyone else plans on delivering at home?

It is a shame that homebirths are so looked down upon in the US, and we have the highest c-section rate in the world (more $$$ for the medical businesses). Midwives are even illegal in some states!!
Low risk pregnancies are perfectly safe to have home deliveries. Obviously there is always a risk with deliveries, but of you have a knowledgable and professional midwife they will want ro transfer you to the hospital at the first sign of trouble.
My 1st delivery was at home, my 2nd will be too. It was beautiful, it was peaceful, it was just as it should be. No interventions, no pain meds and it went pretty damn fast.

I have multiple friends who have had successful home births. They are definitely a beautiful 
thing. 
I have no desire to do one, but more power to you!

If you can, go for it. But remember not everyone can or even is allowed to due to safety reasons. I knew I didnt want any pain medication, so I knew I could birth at home but I couldnt due to complications with my son during my pregnancy. Even though i never got any pain medication i ended up hemorrhaging and bleeding severely after giving birth. Considering how bad it was, I wouldn't of survived if I gave birth at home. Speak to your doctor about this, and go from there.
