I know this is ridiculous but my son’s name was going to be August, I LOVE the name. Plus I feel like it’s uncommon and I like uncommon names. Then my husband came across Dexter and fell so in love with the name, eventually pushed the name on me and we agreed our second son will be August. Well some girl I went to school with just had a baby this week and name her baby August and I’m so UPSET. Like I know I’m being ridiculous but I feel like it was my name and I don’t want anyone to think I’m trying to copy them on names.

Once again, I know it’s ridiculous and my pregnancy hormones are getting to me but I feel so robbed. 😬

I'm the same way! I think we plan to keep our name a secret just si people wont steal it.

I told my friend about our name picked for my son and she said she had the same picked for hers one day. I just said, well I guess they will have the same name. Lol. I honestly dont care who else has his name.

I wouldn’t pay any attention to other people and what they name their kids unless your baby and you are going to be around them! We avoided family member and their kids names, but we chose names we loved no matter what other people did / thought.

I shouted our babies name from the rooftops and made it well known this was OUR babies name! Unless ur close to this person then who cares. Name ur kid what u want to name it
