Blood pressure high from anxiety attack?
I have been abnormally anxious for the past 3 and a half weeks. There has been quite a few deaths in the family, and a family friend who passed as well. I have tried telling my parents, ( I’m 19 and still live at home while I attend college) that my anxiety is worse than its ever been, and I can’t control it. It doesn’t help that I google things, because of course heart attack, stroke or cancer seem to always pop up first. Well, this past weekend, I was anxious about my arm hurting, since I am in fear of having a heart attack even though I know once I’m in a clear mind that is SUPER rare. My mom told me to go to the CVS to get my blood pressure, and so I did. I was freaking out at this point, and so once I got to CVS and checked it, the first reading was 151/98 with a 128 pulse, the next reading was 133/88 once I calmed down a little. This heightened my anxiety and I threw up once I returned to my friends hide since I was with my friend. My parents keep calling me a hypochondriac, and I feel stupid because I’m sure nothing is wrong with my heart but it’s stuck in my head that something is. How bad of blood pressure is that? Should I be worried?
