You can definitely ovulate without a period while breastfeeding. If you don’t want to get pregnant again use birth control.

When done correctly and you fall within the strict requirements of LAM, yes it is 98 percent effective. However unless you are actively tracking with OPK’s, checking your BBT and all that, you’re not going to know when that first ovulation occurs and that’s where it’s risky.  There are medical studies that do indeed prove that it is effective. Would I personally use it? No. I’m not tracking my ovulation to see when I will actually ovulate so I’m not risking it and I’m on the mini pill and using condoms.

Yep... I got pregnant when my daughter was barely 2 months old. We weren’t trying but we weren’t avoiding it either. I wasn’t very knowledgeable back then; my 2 month old is now 9 and I have a brood of 3 kids now, lol... so if you’re trying to get pregnant just know it is very possible. If you want to avoid it, use protection.
