Am I horrible?

So I don’t want anyone in the room with me when I give birth except my boyfriend and all the doctors. Is that terrible that I don’t want any family in the room when I give birth? It’s my first child and obviously I’ll let them all see the baby after but I just want to have a moment with my little family first..

No, it’s completely up to you. The only person I’ll have in the room with me is my husband.

There is nothing wrong with that. It’s just based on your preference and comfort. I wanted my mom and dad there, as well as my husband, of course. My dad sat over to the side and cheered me on lol, but I’m crazy close to my parents. They also helped me take first photos, held their grandbaby for a minute each, and went home, and it’s true that many people’s families don’t know when to get the hell out. But, that was my experience, and my husband is really close to my parents, too. You shouldn’t feel guilty at all if you just want your SO there.

Completely up to you. I only had my fiancé in the room with me, plus my midwife and any doctors.
Was our first child too, and the first grandchild on my fiancé’s side.

I dont even want my husband in there tbh...😅 He'll just pass out anyway- he can barley stand to see a nose bleed. It's totally up to you.
