Is it necessary to pull out while on birth control?

My bf and I have been together 2 years, and I've been taking the pill (lo loestrin fe) religiously for those 2 years. We've always used the pill and pull out method. Lately I've been seeing some articles stating that there isn't much of an increased pregnancy risk whether the guy pulls out or not, so long as you are using your birth control pills correctly. I'm wondering how much truth there is behind this? Please let me know what you think/know please.

I was always too paranoid. I was on bc, used condoms, and he pulled out. It wasn't worth the risk for me before I was ready for a baby.

I used birth control for four years, never used the pull out method, and never got pregnant. I even missed the pill more than a few times and never took it at the same time. I initially started thinking I might be infertile when I never was accidentally pregnant. When I got off of birth control and we started trying we got pregnant the very first month so luckily I wasn't just having fertility issues and the BC pills were really just doing their job. Birth control is more effective than the pull out method anyway so I'd just go with that.

I was on the pill for a year and a half and I didn't use the pull out method. I never got pregnant. Take your pills like you're supposed to and you'll be fine. He won't have to pull out.

If you don't want a kid the more birth control methods the better!! I knew a girl who was beyond religious about taking her pills (like same exact time everyday kinda stuff!) She wound up pregnant twice while on birth control pills.
