Road trip alone with 2 year old???? Help!

Question

Ok y’all, my family lives 12 hours away from us. I desperately want to go home on short notice because my grandma isn’t doing well and is having major surgery on Monday. My mom was crying and all scared and I so wish I could be there to comfort her. We can’t afford a plane ticket for both me and my daughter, and my husband can’t take time off work. 
My husband said he doesn’t want me to drive by myself and basically said no to the idea. He feels bad, but he said that just makes him too nervous. 
What do I do? I believe I could drive 12 hours if I left early. And our girl is great in the car, she’s done this drive a few times. 
***Anyone have any tips or have done this themselves? Please help!

I did it when my son was 16 months. I also had 2 dogs with me and was 7 months pregnant lol. So if I can do that, you’ve got this! 
I split the drive over 2 days because I don’t like to keep my son in his car seat that long. We also stopped every 2 hours for breaks so he could stretch, eat and change his diaper if needed. Try and stop places he can get out and run around a bit (maybe a park or playground) that way she gets a good break from the car, a chance to stretch and burn off some energy. With any luck she will nap in the car then. 
I also got a headrest mount for the iPad and loaded a few movies on it for him, plus a Bluetooth remote so I could control the iPad (since I couldn’t reach it).

I haven't done it myself but I don't see why you couldn't do it or why it should be dangerous. Just plan for a lot of stops, maybe even split the journey up for two days so that you don't get too tired behind the wheel. Pack a lot of snacks and maybe get some kind of DVD player in the car in case your daughter needs some entertainment.

We did a 56 hour road trip with a 5 and 1 year old. The advice I was given that worked was : Lots of snacks, breaks if possible and grab a few new toys and dole them out along the trip for something new to keep the kid entertained. Plus movies on the tablet. 
We had to drive across Canada for a funeral in two days, it was fine.
