Sorry tmi but I am 6 weeks and woke up to this. I remember around 5 weeks and 4 days I had a little bit of it but it went away. I am worried and do not see a doctor until 8 weeks. And I have no cramping. I

I spotted off and on this in early pregnancy. I freaked out because i miscarried before and demanded to be seen by my doctor. He assured me everything was fine and spotting like this is very common in early pregnancy. Everything turned out fine and my baby boy is 7 weeks old now!
It's a good sign if you're not cramping and it's light in color. Even brown is not alarming. Red with cramping is worrisome.

No. Bleeding is not normal. Can it be, yes, depending on as to why spotting/bleeding occurs it can be normal an unalarming. Can spotting even with no cramping be a bad sign, yes. You dont have to be soaking through pads, or have bright red blood, or cramping to just mean bad. All 4 of my mcs tyhat happened between my son and this pregnancy now for a week I just had barely there spotting. I think any bleeding even spotting should be told to your doctor. Some doctors dont concern themselves unless it is heavy or accompanied by cramps. However some doctors will check your hcg or even do exams to look for possible clots or reasoning of the blood. Though a simple irritated cervix or sex can cause spotting. I would never call bleeding in pregnancy normal.  It can be but doesnt mean it is.
