Vaccinations during pregnancy?

Can you guys please give me your thoughts and opinions on getting vaccinated while pregnant? My doctor recommends the tdap and the flu shot. Thing is with my age and my Medicaid he’s not able to provide it for me. He told me I could go to any pharmacy and get them though. I’m just nervous to as I read on here a girl post “ I lost my baby because I didn’t know the risk of vaccines “ or something like that. I wasn’t scared till I read that!

There’s no direct link with vaccinations & losing the baby after getting them. The women who say “this vaccine killed my baby” are only saying that because they lost their baby after getting the shot. When in reality there were a ton of things that can happen at anytime during pregnancy to cause complications. I am for vaccinations during pregnancy because your antibodies are passed to your little one! Which means they’re a bit more protected coming into the new world.

I did get the flu shot (I don’t normally but my husband wanted me too).
I am not getting the tdap. My OB explained the medical recommendation and his opinion. Since I had the tdap less than 2 years ago he suggested that I didn’t need it again. The baby will get it on a delayed vaccination schedule.
Note- check the package inserts (and/or read the vaccine book). The tdap package insert clearly states that it is not known if it can harm fetus or effect reproduction capacity for pregnant women.
I would do some research on your own. But I think most in’s recommend it while pregnant.

I just got both flu shot and Tdap monday.
Highly recommend at least the Tdap. Since the little one cannot get it until 2 months. My arm was sore from that shot and the flu shot just felt slightly burning as it went in.
Babies immune systems are not the best! So they’ll need all the help they can get! 😊

I’ve gotten both shots with all 3 pregnancies and have never had any issues. It’s honestly all personal preference and beliefs.

I always get the flu shot even when pregnant and this time around I also got the Tdap and so far everything has been great :)

I got the flu shot(first time ever) a few months ago... and Ill get the dtap i think wed at my next appt.  Our babies can be born in prime flu season. Its not worth the risk.

Ive never gotten the flu shot, so i didnt change that up with the pregnancy either. Personal choice, and i think stats say its only like 15% effective anyway (not positive just something i think i remember reading somewhere)
I got the TDap shot at 32w and baby is still fine 2 weeks later. I really dont want baby to get whooping cough, which is a very serious illness for infants, so me and my husband both got the shot. We are also recommending my in laws get it since they will be around baby a lot during infancy as well.
