New to this

I am new to tracking my ovulation and having irregular cycles so my ob wants me to test every day until I can figure out when I typically ovulate and then I don’t have to test as often if I don’t want to. I just had my period 6 days ago, and this looks close to being the same color. My question is can you ovulate pretty soon after your period?

I honestly have no idea how any of this works other than the test line has to be as dark or darker and then ovulation is like 12-24 hours away.
