Baby BBQ?

Is anyone having a party for baby AFTER they arrive ?
Was thinking of an August baby BBQ maybe at a park ? Or inviting people out to the beach /renting a beach house ?

If you have a small  family, that's  cute.  My family is so large that wouldn't  be an option.  But my  baby shower  was Baby-que themed

I’ve debated doing that. I was thinking a 4th of July BBQ and meet n greet. My older daughter’s birthday is at the end of August but I don’t really want to combine a meet n greet with her birthday. No firm plans yet but I think that could be fun.

We are going to have an "open house" / "come meet the baby", probably in June. My husband and I have completely gutted and re designed our house so we kind of want to show it off once its done. We will have some apps and drinks.
We are going to ask for no gifts though, if they insist on bringing something we will find a charity or something and they can bring a donation

I like the idea of renting a beach house. My family does a beach day every year!! I would so do this.
