I requested off in January..it’s starting to seem like they’re picking favorites because the first person never gets in trouble for things he should get in trouble for..just wondering if you think this is right and how I should respond..idk but the msg seemed kind of rude to me.

That’s a snippy text for sure, but it does sound like the other person r/o even earlier than you did.. or did I misunderstand that? Either way, it’s ridiculous how many places cut their staff so short like this that there isn’t any wiggle room. As the other person mentioned, if your boss doesn’t notate the exact date that employees request off, I highly suggest that you do it for yourself so you can “show receipts” in the future! I would also ask if someone else already requested off or if you’re the first to do so and get a receipt of THAT as well- so if you can get it in text or email preferably- that’d be perfect.. then there’s no debating it when the time comes for you to take off. That’s def ridiculous though, your boss clearly doesn’t have his priorities straight. I hope you can make it work!!

Your intentions? I’m confused at that comment. What’s the attendance policy. How often do you take off? Do you guys not keep records of ‘request off’ forms?
