Ready for a second baby already?

I am 5 months post partum. My mental health is under control, things are just starting to work out for my husband and I. We've been married for just over a month. It's been great! We move at the end of April to a 2 bedroom trailer that we will own. We just got a 2005 Dodge Dakota, it's nice and runs great! It has room in the back seat for 2 carseats and a truck bed in the back.
About a month ago my husband was set on our son being our only child. I was set on having three. We decided on a compromise. 2 kids. We wanted to wait till our son was potty trained so that we didn't have two babies in diapers at the same time. Now I'm on my period and I'm probably just emotional but i said today to my husband that I wouldn't mind getting pregnant sooner while our son isn't running around because it's going to suck when I'm home alone at 30 weeks pregnant chasing a 3 year old around. All he said was that he saw my point and that we'll revisit the topic once we move and everything settles down.
But guys, AM I READY FOR A SECOND ONE ALREADY?! I have so many questions about deciding to try for a second. Is it better to wait till my son is potty trained? walking? talking? Will I love this baby nearly as much as my first? Of course I will, I'm their mother right? I loved being pregnant and I  know what things I want to do differently this time around.  What did you do differently,  how did your pregnancies differ? I know every pregnancy and women are different but I need to hear some pointers, advice, and tips please!

This was my son yesterday at his cousin's first birthday party,  we are so lucky to have a bunch of close friends around our sons age and we arnt the only couple in our cycle talking about trying for a second.

Reid and Lukas are super close already and spend all the time together. It's like they are brothers and we can't wait to add more kids into the mix!

I got pregnant with my second at 5 months postpartum unexpectedly bc I was on birth control and I’m excited for my boy to have a brother buttttt I do wish I had more time between to spend with my first so I think it would be better to have a little bit of a bigger age gap. The more independent the first the better in my opinion. I dread having two in diapers and one just learning to walk and can’t verbally communicate well yet. It’s starting to stress me out

My husband finally made the decision that he was ready but wasn’t sure it was a good time. Our son is 14 months and I’ve been ready for at least 6 months already. I’m like it takes 9-10 months before we would even have a second baby earthside so our son will be at least 2 before we have another. Imwe got pregnant on the first try last time but miscarried at 4.5 weeks. Took another two months and we were pregnant again with him. So I’m cautiously optimistic it won’t take long to get pregnant again which might be part of hubby’s reservations. But we finally agreed to let what happens happen and quit using condoms.

My kids will be 1.5 years apart. Not going to lie, I’m really scared it’s going to be hard because I’m on my own with hubby, we don’t have any family around us. But I’m also excited

It took us a long time to have our first due to my endometriosis so we thought the second would be a struggle as well. We were planning to start trying when our daughter turned one so they’d be about 2 years apart hopefully.
It so happened while I was exclusively pumping and my daughter was 8 months we had one night of unprotected sex and I ended up getting pregnant. It was mixed emotions because I was very happy we wouldn’t have to go through months and months of stress and maybe another surgery, yet I was also terrified at the prospect of two under two. My baby was still a baby!
I will be honest. It’s hard. I had a wonderful pregnancy up until the last trimester because he was huge and I was very uncomfortable, but no morning sickness like with my daughter or issues.
I felt very bad for my daughter and still do now 11 weeks into being a mom of two because I want to give her more than I can. I think an extra 6 months would have been helpful. I wanted to give her more time of undivided attention and to be a baby before becoming a big sister.
Everyone with kids very close together says it’s worth it with a small age gap in the long run but I can’t speak for that yet as my son is only 11 weeks old.
I’d say a two year age gap is perfect. They’d still be close but not too close to drive you mad lol.

I wanted to wait a bit and have my kids 2-3 years apart, but it took us 6 months to conceive our first with a miscarriage in between, so when I got my period 10 months pp, we started trying. Somehow I expected that it will take the same time. I was so nervous! I felt that our baby was soooo young and was kinda scared to try so soon. Well - I fell pregnant the first month. It was a huge shock! The kids will be 19 months apart which is less than what I wanted, but over time I accepted it and I love the idea. Let’s see if I still love it when the second one is born! :) I am due in 4 months. I think that you have to start trying BEFORE you are actually ready, because it might take some time to conceive and then it takes 9 endless months before you have the baby - so starting to try AFTER a certain thing happens (such as older kid walking) makes no sense to me. It will happen in the meantime. :)
