Weird period

My period was late for about 17 days, then I finally woke up to some blood. My period lasts 5 days and it’s always pretty heavy.

This time I only had blood for 2 days and it was light to medium.. the next two days I only wore a panty liner Bc I was only spotting.. is this normal? Also the day before I got my period I had gotten a very dark line on an ovulation test not positive but almost there and I thought I was going g to ovulate again the the next day or two but Instead i got my period?
