Anyone having a csection?

This is going to be my second  c section.  My first  was 7 years ago ,  No complications it went well.  I am having horrible  anxiety  about having another csection. Any time anyone talks about it I get so anxious.  I am not worried  about the after or the pain but the actual  surgery  it's self and getting  the spinal. Anyone else anxious for a repeat csection?  I wanted to have a vbac but where I live hospitals are not set up for that. Just seeing if i am the only feeling so anxious  about having to have a repeat csection.

I will be having my 4th csection and I don’t think the anxiety ever goes away. I had an emergency c the first time and overall I think I was less nervous about that one because I was so focused on my baby and him being ok over myself. Going in for the other csections caused and will continue to cause a lot of anxiety but I think that’s because I know all of the risks and dangers and I also have other kids that are relying on me to be ok and be their mom. I think it’s a natural part to the process but you could try meditation or breathing exercises to try and help some. I know as I’m waiting in pre-op and looking at the operating room door I cry every single time and my husband laughs at me and makes it a joke to get me to laugh but as soon as I’m in the room it’s game time and I focus on what I need to do and then very soon after the baby is there and everything else is forgotten, until the next csection lol Good luck, Momma!

I have to have a repeat csection too because where I live they don’t offer VBACs.
With my daughter there weren’t any complications on my end but my babes had a partial lung collapse. So that is what keeps going through my mind... I don’t want to go through that trauma again..

Have you tried hypnosis, like hypnobirthing or hypnobabies? I’ve used it for my needle phobia and I would absolutely lean hard on it if I ended up needing a c-section. It’s all about releasing your fear and relaxing into it.

I’m having my 2nd planned c-section. I had a lot of anxiety about it a few months ago, but it passed. I’m sure as the day comes closer I’ll have another bout of anxiety. I remember all the things that made me nervous about the first one. I’m thinking about coming up with a calming mantra to repeat to myself when I’m nervous on the day of. Something like, “Today is the day you meet your baby boy.” Even though there’s a lot to be nervous about, I feel like there are less unknowns, but with labor, it seems like anything can happen.

This will be my 3rd repeat c section, and I was doing good until my 4yr old daughter asked me if i would be alive or not after i give birth. It just gave me so much anxiety because anything can happen.

I’m having my second csection as well and I am honestly terrified. I had a horrible experience with my first csection where I hemorrhaged and lost a lot of blood so I’m seriously dreading it.
