Blocked number and WhatsApp

Not sure if anyone will know this, but on WhatsApp where it usually says if someone is online/last seen at..., if that isn't showing and their photo has also gone, so it just has their name, have they blocked your number?

My step son's mother has a habit of blocking our numbers and we've been told to keep a log of every time she does, but if we try to call or text and it doesn't go through etc she just says she had no signal and so we can't prove it 🙄
