Very very light spotting...

I’m 6w today and had some super light spotting last night (basically just some brown blood tinged CM), then nothing this morning, and now again just the slightest amount of blood again, even less than last night. I know this is potentially completely normal, but this is exactly the same week that I started spotting with my miscarriage in October, and it started very light and escalated.

Would it be really silly of me to call my midwife for this light of spotting just to see if there was any way they would bring me in early for an ultrasound? I’m not scheduled for one for another 3 weeks, and I know the general rule is to wait until it’s heavy/red bleeding, but I’m so terrified after last time.

Thanks everyone! I ended up calling yesterday and they were super empathetic but didn’t want to do an ultrasound unless it got worse. It’s totally stopped now and never got any heavier, so I’m feeling pretty confident nothing is wrong.

It doesn't hurt to ask! I've had 3 miscarriages and my doctor's office originally wanted me to wait until 8 weeks for my first ultrasound with my new pregnancy. I told them I was freaking out and the anxiety of waiting 2 more weeks was too much and they gave in and gave me an ultrasound at 6.5 weeks to calm my fears.

I had that at 7 weeks. You should be fine. It’s normal

I had a scan once a week at 7w, 8w and 9w and had the sister on what’s app for when ever I had a question. If seeing the dr or calling puts you at ease, I say do it

I don’t think it’d be crazy to want an early ultrasound, I had a MC in December and no bleeding so far this time around (I’m 5 weeks today) but my OB wanted to see me between 6-7 weeks so I’ll have an earlier scan soon. If it’s worrying you then try and do what you can! Good luck hun! ❤️
