So I’m a retail manager at a well known store in an outdoor mall. Today we’re literally having a blizzard in Colorado and the mall was open. I had to be in at 6am with a couple sales advisors. I called the mall the night before the night before and they said “we will absolutely be open tomorrow”. It is insanely dangerous to be on the roads right now, I sent everyone home with the approval on my district manager and we closed despite the mall telling us to stay open. All school districts are closed, post offices, doctor’s offices. My question; should there be a law requiring businesses to close for inclement weather?
