Should I believe him or Should I wait?

So I've known this guy for 2 years. 
We've started catching feeling for about 7 months now. We had dinner one night and just let it all out , we told eachother how we felt and it's crazy because in all honesty he seemed to be filled with more feelings than I could imagine. He said I make him happy, he can't stop thinking about me, and that he couldn't tell if I would've felt the same way since his situation is him currently going through divorce. I've always had a little something for him from the start but I always hold back because I'm not the type to show feelings right of the bat AND I knew he was married but with issues. He calls and texts me EVERYDAY. But see here is the catch. When he visits his little boy during the weekend he rarely calls or texts. His excuse is always "baby I'm really trying to get this divorce clean and with no problems" so if his ex wife finds out he has a honey will it cause issues in the whole process of divorce? He repeatively reminds me, his kids and I are the most important thing to him. I'm trying to be strong and support him but I catch myself feeling so doubtfully. 
Do you know someone who went through the same thing?

When I met my husband..  He was going through a divorce. His divorce had already been in the process 8 months and believe me, I made sure of it bc I was not going to date a married man. I just stood by the wayside and let him handle business. Once his divorce was finalized (happened to be a month later) we started focusing on each other more. I liked when he put his kids first, it showed his character and I liked that I didn't meet his kids until he knew for sure I was someone he wanted long term with. Eventually we got engaged and ironically the day after our engagement a whole bunch of eye opening events unfolded and we had to take the kids full time. I am now full time mommy. I never envisioned my life this way (in fact I was closed minded and judgemental about it) and I couldn't be happier. We have now been married for 3 years and currently ttc our #1. Just make sure the divorce is real before you pursue (many states you could look it up online).

Hang in there.. wait for him to get a divorce. It doesn't look good in court if his ex approaches the "he already has someone else" topic. It will be over and then u'll have him all to urself. If a man says that u and his kids are the most important, believe it because not a lot of men can say that.

Ummm God I cannot count how many times I've heard that one.. and they stay with the wife..
If he can mess around on her while still married... what makes you special?? 
Whens he's not happy he moves on... you don't know a thing that's going on at home.
If he's really telling the truth or lying to you..
Divorce isn't fun or nice.. if anything I'd stay away from men who are not yet divorced...

It probably will mess with the divorce. Honestly you both should've stayed away from each other cause he's married. Wait til the divorce is final.
