40 weeks + 4 no dilation, baby not engaged...

My doctor wants me to schedule a c section for Monday to get the baby out. The baby isn’t distressed or unhealthy or too big or anything, but he’s not engaged and I’m not dilated. And he is very high up.

Is it really a good idea to just go ahead and do a c section when he’s not at risk right now? I’ve read that some babies come at 41 weeks naturally. I’m just kind of worried and was hoping to have him vaginally. :(

I am having consistent contractions but he just isn’t engaged or anything at all. Feeling really anxious and not sure what to do.

EDIT: I think I’m going to go ahead and tell him I’m waiting it out. Thank you all for the advice and support. :)
