Bath after c-section?

I had and emergency c-section almost 3 weeks ago! Since it was an emergency i wasn't prepared for it and the recovery. I've been recovering really well people have a hard time believing i had a c-section because i've been up on my feet and doing stuff around the house since we got back. But when can i take a bath? Im starting to workout slowly this week. But i forgot to ask my doctor about the bath!

Walking is fine, but if your doctor hasn’t cleared you to work out, then don’t! You may be feeling really good, but that internal incision that you can’t see is still healing. Most doctors don’t recommend actually working out until 8 weeks pp and higher impact workouts are really supposed to wait until 12 weeks pp. You can really mess up the healing of your internal incision, and risk internal bleeding or even uterine rupture.

Mine told me I could start walking as soon as I was comfortable, then at my 3week appt told me I could start adding length and intensity to it but not to start strength workouts till 6 weeks and even then , NEVER  strain myself. Said "no pain no gain was not meant for women with a csection " and told me I could go ahead with baths no add ins like bombs or salts. And reminded me nooooooo sex till at least 6 weeks.

Your doctor cleared you to workout already?? Lucky! As far as a bath I wouldn't know 🙂 I don't have my 4 week checkup for 2 more weeks.

I was told I was only allowed to have a bath in 3-4in of hot water, and only water, no bubble bath, bath bombs, bath salts, etc

I asked my dr about a bath at 2 weeks and she said it’s ok just not to use bubble bath, bath bombs, etc yet.
