FET - time leading up to?

Can anyone share their experience leading up to a frozen embryo transfer? The retrieval (at least for me) including going back on bcp, the process will be about 5-6 weeks. I’m curious for down the road when we do a transfer what the lead time is, so to speak and if it’s similar as far as monitoring. ie, if you wanted the transfer to happen in August, for example, does the ball have to get rolling in June or July? Thanks!

It's about a 4 - 5 week process. Depending on when in August you would need to start with either your June period or your July period. Theres a lot of meds involved and progesterone in oil shots or suppositories (depending on your body and doc). Good luck!!!

There are a lot of variables. It can depend on how fast your lining thickens and how you respond to the meds. 
For me, I did my retrieval on Jan 12. Waited for my period to arrive and then started estrogen about feb 4th. Followed my progesterone oil injections.  I did my transfer on March 1st.

I’m currently doing a ERA cycle. My fresh cycle ended in a chemical pregnancy last month and next month I’ll be doing a frozen transfer. But, I’m under the impression that it will be way less monitoring. But, we’ll still have to be on birth control and take estrogen and progesterone.
