Subway salad during pregnancy??

Question

So not sure if this sounds stupid or not but is eating a salad from subway ok/safe? 
I’ve heard and read there is a risk of listeria because the salad may have been sitting there for a while? 
I need to know because I’m craving a salad so bad right now but better safe then sorry!

No it's not. Eating prepackaged salads or salads that have been sitting out is already risky. Eating cold lunch meat is also risky. Eating a combo of the two is a risk I wouldnt take and my doctor agrees. So many people will tell you it's fine but th reality is 1 in 10 Americans has listeria at any time they just dont know it. So it's more common than people think and it's not something I would risk the health of my baby over. Make a meatless salad at home or add some heated meat.

I skip cold cuts from places like Subway where the meat is sitting out unless it’s heated. Make a salad at home. Ken’s Dressing is my favorite for home salads.

It’s fine as long as you don’t get any meat on it that hasn’t been warmed up first.
