Exercise After Baby?

Hey ladies, how soon after having a baby, should you be able to start working out ? Like gym wise ? I was chunky before I got prego & bigger now of course but I plan on working out after baby. Just not sure when could I start to .

Whenever your doctor clears you which is usually at your 6 week check up. Unless there were complications and you may need to wait longer. Until then the most you should do is walking and light stretching

When your doc clears you, which In Most cases is about 6 weeks PP. If you have a C-section, it will probably be longer

My doctor encouraged me to start walking as soon as I left the hospital. Then I was cleared for full workouts at two weeks. I didn’t actually make it to the gym until 4 weeks, but I did do lots of walks with baby around the neighborhood. 
Definitely talk to your doctor.

You'd have to specifically ask your doc.  If typically is the 6 to 8 weeks but it's best to ask for what your doctor wants.  It's a patient to patient basis
