Bath shower ??

I have 14 month old and I’m 8 weeks Pregnant with my next... do you have a baby shower for your second child? I obviously don’t know what the gender is. But I wasn’t sure if you have another baby shower for your second child

I personally believe that everyone should be able to celebrate every baby regardless of genitals or age gap :) there are no written rules. If you don’t need big things or gifts say so in the invite. Anybody that says it’s tacky just sounds stuckup and snotty to me. I wouldn’t invite anyone that would think that way.

Personally I wouldn’t because baby showers to me are for first time parents to help with the initial cost and to give you things you will need for this new chapter in your life. But some people see it as a celebration for baby but honestly that’s what birthdays are for 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had a baby shower with my first, and a “baby sprinkle” with my second. Both boys. They’re 3 years apart, so I had passed down all of my baby clothes and gear to family members so we had nothing. I didn’t want a lot, just celebrating and a little bit of things. I won’t be celebrating at all with this one, even if its a girl. I think it can come off tacky, I barely wanted to throw the sprinkle. But he was my rainbow baby ❤️

I believe you should only get 1 shower, but apparently some places in the us it’s common to have one for each child.

I had one because they are seven years apart. But it was more like a sprinkle.

If we have a second one, we would do a sprinkle again like we did for the first. We are super lucky to have friends who already have babies and got a ton of hand me downs, so our thing was really just to get everyone together and hang out and I made a list of stuff we still needed in case anyone felt like they had to bring something.  I will also say that our thing included ALL our friends, not just women, and did not have any of the terrible games or opening gifts in front of everyone that I so dislike about traditional showers, so take it all with a grain of salt.

I wouldn’t have a baby shower for my second if they were that close in age. I am having a baby shower for my second tho because they are 10 years apart and this is my husbands first. I’ve heard of baby sprinkles? Something really small and intimate to celebrate but not as extravagant as a whole shower again.

I’m not but I am going to have a big dinner with my close friends and family to celebrate the baby:)
