Hey everyone, i was wondering if birthing classes are necessary. Everyone always says “your hospital gives free birthing classes”. Well, unfortunately mine doesn’t! The birthing class itself is 200$, the infant one is 200$ on top of that, and if i want a breastfeeding class i have to pay ANOTHER 200$ making the total 600$ for 3 classes.

Is a birthing class necessary for a first time mom? I feel like I’d much rather spend that money on the baby itself than information, so I’m just looking for opinions! I’m 30 weeks pregnant on Monday.
