When do you feed your newborn at night?

Do you set an alarm to wake up every so often or do you let them wake you up?

Unless baby isn’t gaining weight properly you don’t need to wake them.

I let them wake me up ... he was always a good eater and would nurse non stop, so I never worried that he wasn’t eating enough during the night. . . If he slept, I let him sleep , but he usually got up every 3-4 hours to nurse anyway, but would fall back to sleep within 5 min

We woke our son every two hours for three weeks because he wasn’t gaining (lost 11% of his birth weight in the first week). He would sleep all night through feedings if we let him. Once he was above his birth weight and gaining, we let him alert us. He soon learned feelings of hunger :)

I have always been feeding on demand, the most relaxing way for both you and the baby.

Mine woke about every 2-4 hours. I just let her sleep if she was sleeping. Waking up that often is exhausting enough.
