Labor signs?

With previous pregnancies what were some signs that labor was just a week or less away?? Were they different with each pregnancy or the same?

I didnt have any signs that early, i had maybe 12ish hours maybe abit more notice with my son but then had the start of contractions (irregular) all night. My daughter i had even less warning. Both came 38-39wks. 
I would say excess (more than usual) discharge. Was my only warning with my son i went to get checked by midwives  they tested to see if it was amniotic fluid (thought i had a leak in the "sac") and while waiting for results had the contraction machine put on me and from then they started, was advised to go back when they got more "intense and regular" lasted all night he was born 11.32am the next day.
My daughter it thought maybe was having more Braxton hicks but they were constant and got gradually worse and timing had a pattern. Was my second so i kinda knew it was labour by then. That was earlyish morning like 7am she was born around 12.30 that day.

I had INTENSE back pain. Turns out it was back labor for 3 whole days before my water broke. It was agonizing. I couldn’t sleep, barely ate at all. 1 day before I had an upset stomach and diarrhea (sorry TMI) and then the very next day I lost my entire mucus plug and my water broke 30 seconds later.

I never had any signs. I just woke up to my water being broken!
